What is UNIX timestamp?
The UNIX timestamp, also known as POSIX time or Epoch time, is a widely used system for describing a point in time. It is defined as the total number of seconds that have elapsed since the UNIX Epoch - 1 January 1970, 00:00:00 UTC, not counting leap seconds.
